A new report says OpenAI plans to let you make videos directly from its ChatGPT interface.
OpenAI’s powerful video generation tools have so far sat separately from ChatGPT in their own app, but that may soon change.
A new report says ChatGPT will soon get AI-video generation tools from its Sora platform, but they will be accessible through its main chatbot. This rumor comes from sources familiar with the company’s plans, according to The Information.
The report says OpenAI will continue to offer Sora as a standalone app, but it will also bring its advanced tools to the main chatbot, making it more accessible to ChatGPT’s millions of users.
Free users currently get access to a limited number of video generations a day through Sora, while those who pay for the brand’s Pro, Plus, or Business services get unlimited images and videos. Those on ChatGPT Plus and Business only get videos up to 480p resolution, and videos can’t exceed 10 seconds.
This new report doesn’t share when Sora tools will come to ChatGPT, but OpenAI has been quick to roll out features in the past, suggesting it may happen sooner rather than later.
An update to ChatGPT on March 10 introduced new interactive visual modules for students learning about math or science. It’s designed to let users work with interactive versions of formulas and variables.
OpenAI said, “Adjust inputs, manipulate equations, and instantly see how changes affect graphs and outcomes—turning abstract concepts into something you can explore directly.” It also says you can generate quizzes to test your knowledge of mathematical and scientific equations.
This comes soon after the brand launched its GPT-5.4 Thinking model in ChatGPT and across its other services, with advances in reasoning, coding, and agentic workflows.
